And just like that, a week later, I have a job again. I prepared so much and prayed so hard. I think this is the right choice. I have two interviews scheduled tomorrow and Friday but I think I might just take this one. It’s with a storage facility. I would be handling cash and customers, cleaning units, even creating promotional displays with a design app that I’m excited to get to use. I got the call and was so thrown off by the offer, I told them that I would think about it but I’m very excited and that’s the bloody truth! I’m seriously thinking about it and I’m sincerely excited. Through all of this job shift, I’m only losing about $2 an hour and that’s not too bad given that no one is really hiring. Less responsibility is involved. I’m still considered a manager which is a great title to have. I’m so blessed. I nailed the interviews, nailed them! I’m comfortable saying that now because it’s totally true. I’m so ecstatic. I broke the news to Mark and he wasn’t shocked or anything but this does mean that the Vivian schedule will change and I hope that I don’t lose time with her. I’m leaning more into the decision of taking the job, not because it’s the first one being offered, but because it’ll pay well and I can actually do it. I need a stable job for a while. I need to stop job hopping and stick with something for a while. I love the town that it’s in, not a lot of homeless people, I love the neighborhood… not a lot of homeless people. I don’t have anything against them, it’s just each homeless person is so different with a different set of problems. Homeless people would come into the community center, come to my café, ask for free food, and leave so pissed off that I didn’t just fork over a sandwich. Maybe I should have, but then audacity. Do you go into McDonalds and ask for a burger? Anyway, it sucks that it’s fulltime, but like I said, less responsibility. I’m debating whether to take next week off, telling my new job that I gave my old job a week notice, or just start on Monday. I suppose starting now would be better than waiting.
